I Found it!! The Perfect, Inexpensive Yellow Eyeshadow!

OMGGZ.  Lol, I've never been this excited about an eyeshadow, but, as you may have noticed in my past blog posts, I have been searching like a mad woman (haha).  Lo and behold, I have found the one.

The eyeshadow I'm talking about is the L'oreal Eye shadow duo in the shade "Striking"(907 is the number.).  I am OBSESSED with H.I.P duos from L'Oreal.  I believe this is my 6th duo.  The pigmentation in them is like no other, and instead of one eye shadow- you get two.  This duo is a matte duo, which means both of the colors in the duo give of no shimmer and sheen- they're matte.  The colors in this duo are a bright yellow, and a very matte black.  The yellow is a dupe(Duplicate) of M.A.C's "Chrome Yellow", and the black is an exact dupe for "Carbon" by M.A.C.

If you get a chance, drive by your local drugstore and pick up these 2 eye shadows for $6.00.  I mean, what do ya have to lose??

My Beauty Wishlist (April 2010)

I have decided to make my own beauty wishlist, which is where I'll be listing the top three things that I want for the month of April (2010).  Without much further ado, let's get get on with the list.

1) Stay Don't Stray 360 Eye Primer by Benefit.
Ever since this product from Benefit came out, I've been wanting to buy it SO badly.  Basically what it does, is it serves as an eye primer for your eyelid AND your undereye concealer.  It's the best invention yet!

2) M.A.C Eyeshadow in "Chrome Yellow"
I've been wanting this FOREVER!  haha.  If you don't remember my last blog post, I reviewed the ever so famous Coastal Scent Palette.  In that blog post I stated how I've been on the hunt for a bright yellow eyeshadow, and I also said that I was thinking of Chrome Yellow.  After I've done all my research, I think I may have found the one! lol.

3) Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette
Evryone knows how I RAVED about the Coastal Scents 88 eye palette.  Don't get me wrong- I'm a sucker for bright, headache-causing colors, but I also would love to own a neutral palette.  I think it would be great for my collection, especially for school and those days wear you just want to go au naturale.

Thats it for now!

Review on: Coastal Scents 88 Eye Color Palette(AKA, "Matte Palette").

Hey Everyone!

Today I'm going to review The Coastal Scents 88 eye color palette, otherwise known as the Matte Palette. These Palettes have been All the rage on the internet for a couple of years. I, myself had to see what all the hype was about them. For one, there color selection is very broad and pigmented. Another thing that I think everyone is surprised about is how tiny they are. Each color is the size of a dime; but then again- what do you expect for a 17 dollar palette with 88 colors?

The first thing I'd like to talk about is the packaging on this product. It has a nice, sleek black pakaging that is very professional-looking. However: Don't be fooled. I found out this out the hard way that this packaging does not support the products inside. In other words- If you drop this item, You're screwed. I have at least three shadows that have broken from one drop. Another thing is te metal pans that hold the packed eye shadows in (in some palettes) seems to disconnect from the plastic slots. Nothing a dollop of super glue can't fix though, Right?? Another thing is that the button that secures the palette from being open all the time breaks off, but have no fear- you don't need this little "Safety button", because the palette will close just fine without it.

Next I'd like to talk about the pigmentation on this palette. Overall, the pigments in the colors are great. But with the light bright colors, (such as the light pinks, yellows, and greens) have poor pigmentation and staying power. Especially the yellow, which I'm dissapointed about, because I've been needing a yellow color for a long time, and these yellows just don't meet expectations(Making me still on the hunt for a bright yellow. Chrome Yellow by M.A.C anyone??). However, I was researching on the website that these are sold, and they said that these products can be applied wet, and by doing this, it would make the colors "More pigmented and longer-lasting". I have yet to try this, but when I do, I'll make sure to letyou know :)

Overall, I recommend this product to make-up beginners, and even Makeup-Artists. No matter if you're a beginner or a pro, you can never go wrong with the Coastal Scents 88 eye color palette.

You can buy your very own palette here: http://www.coastalscents.com/cfwebstore/index.cfm/product/1677_122/88-piece-makeup-palette.cfm

Or coastalscents.com if you'd like to navigate the site yourself.

Hope everyone enjoyed my review! Expect MANY more to come. Next review? Mehron Tropical palette.

Your's Truly,

-Chelsea.

Introduction and Diary Entry #1

Hey,

So this is my blog, and if you don't like it, then you belong down the toilet. Just kidding. Seriously, nothing personal. Anyways, at the beginning of every Blog entry/Diary entry I will list a few specific things about what I'm doing.
The first thing is the word of the day, because words are awesome, and they are welcome to my blog, haha.
The first word of the day?: Vaseline.
The second thing is what music I am listening while I write my blog. I always have iTunes up, and music is my life, so the heck with it!

Now playing: Back to Tennessee- Billy Ray Cyrus.

The songs are on shuffle, so if it is a interesting choice of song- you will know why. And at the end of my blog, I will also say what the ending song is.

The third and last thing of the day will be the book I am reading at the moment, well, because I am the biggest bookworm you'll ever know, and you can count on seeing a new book every new blog post :)

Brainwashing Book: Wicked Lovely- Melissa Marr.

So now that we've got all of the basics out of the way, let's move onto the "About Me" section. Since lists are awesome, I decided I'd list a few facts about me:

1) I was born and raised in Arizona for about eleven years. I am going to AZ in four days now and I'm literally peeing myself just thinking about it, lol. I now live in Colorado. whoohoo, 300 days of Sunshine instead of 364, haha.

2) This blog is for family and friends- not 54 year old men who are creepers, and if there's anything suspicious about you, I'll kick you all the way to China (Unless you live in China?? Then I'll kick you to Australia; so on and so forth.)

3) My dream school is NYU (New York University) and to become a Pediatric Oncologist, which is a specialist doctor who treats and cures children with cancer.

5) I have a pink iPod nano, that I can't breathe without.

6) My top five favorite places to visit are: 1)Los Angeles, California 2) Michigan (Every square inch of Michigan equals LOVE)>

Okay, so no that we have all of our introductions done and over with, I hope you enjoy my blog! I'll try my best to post one everyday:)

Current Song: Lifetime0 Katharine McPhee (My favorite at the moment!)

Love and Rockets(LOL, like from "My Life as Liz"),

-Chelsea Camille
